Tétéoù

A simple and safe device that helps your children find their way on the beach

In partnership with the Protection Civile de Cannes, Cannes Town Hall has set up an original signage system enabling children to easily identify the place where their family is staying and, if they get lost, to allow those who are taking care of them (first aiders, third parties, etc.) to find them easily thanks to their customisable bracelet.

The signs are installed from mid-June to the end of September.

Help your child to find its bearings on the beach:

  • Choose your beach pitch close to the Tétéoù pole and point it out to your child
  • Put the identity bracelet* on him or her: it will enable the rescue team to find you easily if he or she gets lost.

* Identity bracelets:
Identity bracelets are available from the City of Cannes and the Civil Defence to make it possible to identify your child and locate you easily in the event of your child getting lost. You can pick one up either at the nearest first aid station or kiosk.

At the water's edge

  • A child must never be left unsupervised at the water's edge!
  • Provide children unable to swim with floatation equipment suitable for their age group (inflatable arm bands, lifebelts, buoys and the like) and leave arm bands on even when playing at the water's edge.
