The Festival de Cannes, with around 40,000 accredited visitors each year, is the largest film festival and one of the most publicised events in the world. It reflects the two-fold nature of the Seventh Art, as much an art as an industry, and fosters both artistic discoveries as well as industry opportunities.
First held in 2018, the Festival CANNESERIES takes place in April and aims to promote and showcase series from all over the world, to become the voice of this new popular and highly-creative artform.
Cannes Cinéma's mission is to develop a cinematic experience throughout the city, all year round, for everyone to enjoy. The association presents a film season, major events throughout the year and numerous Visual Arts learning initiatives, as part of its mission as a regional centre for Visual Arts Education.

Carribean and Latin American cinema events in March
This festival takes place every year in March and is organised by the Film Club de Cannes, in partnership with Cannes Cinéma, Studio 13, and Les Arcades Cinema.
La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, organised every year in May during the Festival de Cannes by the Société des Réalisateurs de Films, is a programme that aims to support filmmakers, helping them to get discovered.
The association runs an educational and cultural programme from September to April: La Quinzaine en Actions (including screenings/debates, scriptwriting workshops, critics and documentary). The City' s policy-making district La Bocca is at the centre of this scheme.
A workshop for creating and broadcasting independent films, ACID has been organising a complementary alternative section to the Festival de Cannes for almost 30 years.
Outside the Cannes Festival period, ACID organises ACID POP: Cinema for the people who make it. This consists of several sessions per year (masterclasses & film screenings in partnership with Cannes University, Cannes Cinemas and the FilmClub de Cannes). The programme includes 6 screenings per year at Les Arcades cinema (one per month) and one screening at the Cinéum in Cannes.
The Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma et des Films de Télévision organises the Semaine de la Critique every year in May. Members of this union present their awards (for film, television, DVD/Blu-ray and literature) and sit on the juries of several festivals, including the Festival de Cannes.
An international festival of short and feature-length films, organised in May, on the theme of disability, which promotes people living with disabilities through a series of film productions.
Festival du film Queer "In&Out" at Les Arcades cinema
The Rencontres Cinématographiques In&Out, organised by the association, Les Ouvreurs, presents a programme in Cannes at Les Arcades cinema. A gay and lesbian film festival, offering four days of queer cinema and ten films, most of which have never been shown at Cannes before.

Cannes Cinema and Les Arcades Cinema, in partnership with MC4 distribution, are organising "En Avant Les Premières!" offering 4 days to discover a selection of national film premieres.
The FIFP in October is a unique experience when pan-African cinema and African cultures as well as its dispersal throughout the world are accessible to all.
